Eco machine that produces water

A Canadian company called Element Four has developed a machine that can condense water from the air using similar electricity as three light bulbs.

This machine went on display at an event hosted by Wired magazine in November 08. It works by drawing air through carbon filters to remove particles and dust. Then it cools it to just under the temperature that dew forms. The condensed water is then passed through a UV sterilising light and then is piped to wherever the water is to be used.

This system produces up to 12 litres of pure drinking water a day depending upon local humidity.
