Australian College of Eastern Medicine
A new college branch of the Queensland College of Oriental Medicine (QCOM) will be opening in July at Byron Bay’s Temple Byron.
The new branch of the college will be trading under the name The Australian College of Eastern Medicine and will be offering Nationally Recognised Training in Shiatsu as well as accredited training in Acupuncture.
Training at this college is of a high standard and as class numbers are kept to a maximum of 16, students are guaranteed a high level of personal attention. Training is focused predominantly on the practical components of the healing arts of Acupuncture and Shiatsu however significant focus is also placed on the theoretical aspects as this knowledge base is vital to good diagnostic knowledge.
As a Registered Training Organisation the college offers a Shiatsu Diploma that is Nationally Recognised, an Advanced Diploma of Acupuncture that is accredited by The Australian Natural Therapy Association and a Diploma of Equine Acupuncture and Oriental Therapies accredited by IICT.
OTHER COURSES ON OFFER
Equine acupuncture is fast becoming a much sort after treatment choice by horse trainers and breeders for its safety, ease of application and minimal side effects.
Training is offered in convenient one week intensives as well as units completed by correspondence.
All graduates can obtain membership with one of several associations and thus obtain insurance and a provider number for services with private health funds.
