Byron Yoga Centre is one of the longest running yoga centres in Australia. Founded in 1988, by John Ogilvie, it is fully accredited by Yoga Alliance. Our yoga teachers are highly trained professionals, caring and passionate about sharing the joys of yoga.
Located directly opposite Belongil Beach in Byron Bay we offer several, daily yoga classes of diverse styles. Teacher training courses, workshops and retreats are held throughout the year in Byron Bay, Sydney, Vietnam, India and other exotic locations.
Our part-time and full-time yoga teacher training is among the lowest priced in the world and focuses on delivering experiential opportunities for our students. Byron Yoga Centre maintains a strong holistic philosophy to yoga that mirrors the essence of its birthplace.
Our trainings have a maximum group size of 20 students, high contact hours, experienced yoga instructors, a high student / teacher ratio and minimum of 12 hours teaching public classes. The focus on experience sets us apart from other yoga teacher training schools, giving students real-life teaching opportunities.
Our retreats are fully inclusive of ashram style accommodation, healthy and delicious vegetarian cuisine, yoga, meditation, philosophy and massage. The retreat team includes senior yoga and meditation teachers, specialist speakers and experienced therapists offering ayurveda, acupuncture, naturopathy, counselling and more.
